Fat Grafting Breast

BREAST FAT GRAFT: DR. ROGER KHOURI TECHNIQUE
Procedure: Breast augmentation and post mastectomy and lumpectomy breast reconstruction using your own fat.
Length: 2-3 hours
Anesthesia: Local with sedation or general anesthesia
In/Outpatient: Outpatient
Technique: The patient is prepared by using an external breast expander called BRAVA(http://www.mybrava.com/). The soft gel like brassiere gently suctions the breast area to create an adequate matrix for the fat transfer. The fat is harvested from the area of the body where there is excess fat using a power cannula liposuction, processed under high speed centrifugation and transferred to the breast to achieve a natural breast augmentation or breast reconstruction with no implant, no long incision, scars or stitches. Just natural looking breast.
Side Effects: Temporary bruising, swelling, and tight feeling.
Recovery:
Back to work: 7 to 14 days.
To do more strenuous activities: 2 weeks or more
Bruising: 1 to 2 weeks. Must limit exposure to sun for several months.
Duration of Results: Usually permanent
